Homeschooling a Middle Schooler

Hey homeschoolers!

I am teaching two middle schoolers this year. It's hard to believe! These are fun years, but they are also challenging for many homeschoolers — especially those who will be teaching middle school for the first time. In today's episode I want to talk about six important suggestions to keep in mind when homeschooling middle school students.

But first I would love to have you join our supportive homeschooling community called homeschoolscopes.tv. This is a Facebook group for homeschooling mothers who enjoy creating or just watching live videos. The video format allows us to get to know one another and form real friendships. Simply ask to join and if you're a homeschooling mama, you'lll be approved.

Teaching Tip of the Week

The teaching tip of the week is to organize your digital life. Our mothers and grandmothers never had to organize thousands of digital files, including recipes, photos, paperwork, and curriculum. I did a podcast episode on how to organize your digital curriculum, but there is so much more that goes into organizing your digital life, like staying on top of email and being able to find the information you need when you need it. Although I do have a challenge on this topic in the book The Organized Homeschool Life, Bath Napoli has created a digital organizing course that will help you address all of your organizing needs. You can learn more about the course by going to Psychowith6.com/OrganizedDigital.  We need to learn digital organizing skills for ourselves and so we can teach our children.
